CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS GIF FOR ONE FRICKING MINUTE?

THIS IS RIGHT AFTER DEATH TELLS SAM ITS AN HONOR TO BE COLLECTING HIM

HIS WHOLE LIFE SAM HAS BEEN THINKING HE ISN’T CLEAN, BECAUSE THERE IS DEMON BLOOD IN HIS VEINS, BECAUSE HE LET PEOPLE DOWN, HIS BROTHER DOWN, BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HURT BECAUSE OF HIM AND EVEN DIED. HE THINKS DYING TO SAVE THE WORLD WAS THE LEAST HE COULD DO, AND STILL DOESN’T EVEN CUT IT FOR EVERYTHING HE’S DONE. HE THINKS THAT BEING LUCIFER’S VESSEL HAS RENDERED HIM LESS THAT THE MUD OFF OF A DEMONS BOOT. HE BELIEVES IT TO THE VERY DEPTH OF HIS SOUL.

BUT THEN DEATH, THIS ETERNAL BEING WITH THE WISDOM OF THE UNIVERSE, AND THE POWER OF TEN, LOOKS AT SAM, AND EVERYTHING HE HAS DONE, AND IS SO PROUD OF HIM, HE IS HONORED TO MEET SAM, THE MONSTER. BECAUSE HE SEES SAM FOR WHAT HE REALLY IS, AND THAT IS A HERO

BECAUSE DEATH KNOWS WHAT SAM CANT EVEN COMPREHEND: HAVING DEMON BLOOD DOESN’T MAKE YOU DIRTY. HAVING THE TITLE OF SATANS VESSEL DOESN’T MAKE YOU A MONSTER. SAM COULD HAVE NOTHING BUT DEMON BLOOD AND POISON IN HIS VEINS AND HE COULD STILL NEVER BE A MONSTER. HIS WORKS CAN NEVER OVERPOWER HIS FAITH AND PURE GOODNESS OF HEART, AND BECAUSE OF THIS, HE CAN NEVER BE ANYTHING, BUT A HERO.

And sam… he is genuinely confused and shocked, that anyone could see him this way.

This is worse. Looking at these you can tell they have no significant monetary value. They were confiscated as a fear tactic. Nothing more.

This picture breaks my heart everytime it appears in my dash. It’s a fear tactic, alright but—

The first one in the left corner: It’s a first communion rosary, and it’s not cheap.

The black one in the first line: That’s a widow rosary and it’s old.

The white one in the second line:  is a commemoration rosary. It has a miniature picture in the round part. I haven’t seen that since the 70′s.

In the third line, multicolor one: It’s an Anima mundi, I have only seen those in the hands of Rosary ministery’s old ladies. The oldest ones are from the 80′s after Juan Pablo II came to Mexico for the first time. It’s one of the old ones, I know because the crucifixes are different.

The third one on the fourth line: Red and gold. The style is old, the metal is dark, that’s a 50′s rosary, probably a quinceañera one (or it’s maybe older, from the 40′s when the brides carried red roses with their offerings).

The fifth one on the fourth line: It’s a quinceañera rosary with Ignatius’s tear. The style is old and in my part of Mexico is orphan girls who used it. At least it was when I was young.

The third one of the fifth line: the blue one with the anchor. That one I have only seen in Veracruz and it doesn’t look new.

The fifth one on the fifth line: That’s a 90′s wedding rosary. Black and white patterns were popular on that date.

The fourth one on the last line: That’s a first communion rosary from the 30′s. It’s delicate and most probably silver.

The rest wrench my heart too, the humble everyday rosaries with wooden beads and knots. Those are cheap and bear the wear and tear of their user handling. But those  I described are much more.

Those are mother’s rosaries.

Those are not just rosaries. Those are mementos, that’s the proof of their families stories. They are taking from them the only portable things they can carry to feel the connection to their families.

It’s not a fear tactic. Call it like by its name.

It’s dehumanization.

never forget that:

  • cas has lived for millions of years
  • cas probably has more experience with military strategy than most people could ever even dream of having
  • cas could probably destroy entire cities if he wanted to
  • cas is actually a being the size of the chrysler building (about 319 m) condensed down so that a human form can handle him
  • cas could basically kick everyone’s ass
  • cas is filled to the brim with angelic fury and has been given more than enough reasons to let it show but chooses not to because his heart of gold won’t let him
  • castiel—angel of the lord, brother, savior, human, and best friend—is important

Not truthiness, just truth.

Yeah well perhaps they should have figured out what a border is first. Because their parents broke the law by Crossing ours and better than spend the time in these facilities than a prison with grown adults who made the human traffickers not even their parents

Actually, let me enlighten you.

These people in detention have not committed a crime.
- I don’t mean that in a moral or a figurative sense. I mean literally. It is NOT a crime to ask for asylum.
- These people didn’t jump a fence, they didn’t sneak into the backyard. They are knocking on the front door and saying “People are trying to kill me in my home country, will you let me in?”
- Now, I didn’t fall off the turnip truck. Some of these people are lying. That’s why you have a hearing. And because they might wander off, these people are held in detention until the hearing.
- This hearing is NOT in a criminal court. It’s in an immigration court. Because these people have not committed a crime.
- Immigration court is not like criminal court. You don’t have a right to an attorney.
- So these people are waiting around, separated from their children, with no attorney, until they get a hearing.
- In 2015, the median wait for an immigration hearing was 404 days.
- Here’s where it gets even more twisted. If people plead guilty to asylum fraud, they get their kids back and get deported.
- So these people knock on the front door, which is perfectly legal, and we take their kids, and tell them the quickest way to get the kids back is to confess to fraud.
- If someone committed a crime (ie. shoplifting, armed robbery, murder) and you took their kids away to make them confess, that confession would be thrown out.
- But these confessions are lawful, because this isn’t criminal court.
- Because these people haven’t committed a crime.

- Now some people think that if we make it so unpleasant for these people, they will stop trying to cross the border.
- But the message this sends isn’t “Go Home.” The message it sends is “Sneak in.”
- If they go home, they think they will be murdered. If they request asylum, they are separated from their children.
- If they sneak in successfully, they’re safe. If they sneak in and get caught, they are no worse off than if they sought asylum legally.
- And remember, these people haven’t committed a crime.
